Months before the recent magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit the capital city of Haiti, a local Scottsdale church began raising supplies and money for the people of this impoverished fourth-world country. Since the news of the earthquake on January 12, they have been preparing to send a team of people and supplies to assist with the thousands of newly orphaned children. In order to raise the necessary funds to send this group, E3 Church is hosting a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament, All In For Haiti.
August 2009, E3 hosted a Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction, which raised $6,000 for a Haitian orphanage, Children of the Promise. We are hoping to raise $10,000 by getting the community involved. Pastor Larson recently said to E3 Church, “We live in a community of plenty but in a world of great need. It’s time to do something about it.” E3 Church invites the generous residents of Scottsdale and surrounding communities to join them in making a difference.
